Action Aid International wants African Union swiftly intervene in the ongoing modern slavery in Libya.

Speaking a Press Conference Tuesday in Monrovia, the Executive Director of Volunteer Hub Liberia, Menue Bainda, condemned the enslavement of Africans in Libya.
Bainda called on African governments to immediately begin to identify, register and track their citizens in and across Libya and Europe as the first step to releasing them from physical or economic captivity.
He also wants AU develop a clear strategy for the rehabilitation of returnees in their respective countries.
The Action Aid official is at the same time calling on the African Union to impose sanctions on Libya until all captives are released.
